Enrolments

At Craigslea, we value the opportunity to meet with new parents and their children which is why we will request an enrolment interview. It's important that both parties get answers to the questions they may have in regard to enrolment in our school. It is the critical starting point for the home-school relationship that supports your child in their developing education and must be maintained to ensure their academic, social and emotional success.

Our Prep Information Sessions provide new and prospective parents the opportunity to learn about what Craigslea State School represents. This takes place in Term 2 each year. In addition to this, our prep teaching team opens its doors to Early Childhood Centres that may wish to visit.

Prep interviews are with the parent/s and child. This is an interview whereby parents share information and students 'work' with a prep teacher: information which assists us in class placements. Then, all new prep students are invited up to school in late November to meet their new teacher, see their new classroom and meet their new classmates. The value of this lies in the fact that your child knows what to look forward to over the Christmas break. It's an exciting time for all. To determine when your child can commence their prep year, use the online calculator and for more information about enrolling your child in Prep at Craigslea see our Prep Enrolment Process

Enrolment at Craigslea State School is governed by an Enrolment Management Plan which sets conditions of enrolment and the boundaries that determine the catchment area for the school. Our Craigslea State School catchment area can be viewed to determine if your permanent place of residence resides in the catchment area.
