At Craigslea State School, students are provided with a range of extension and enrichment opportunities to challenge their thinking, develop their talents and engage with learning beyond the classroom. These opportunities allow students to collaborate with others, apply their skills in new contexts and participate in school-based and external events.

Students may have opportunities to participate in literacy enrichment activities such as the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Shadow Judging or Readers Cup, Literature Circles, Online News Writers Course, ABC News in My Neighbourhood and Interschool Literacy Olympics.

Students may also be invited to take part in mathematics and STEM opportunities, including Interschool Maths Tournament, Middle School Problem Solving Challenge, Maths Problem Solving, APSMO Maths Explorer, APSMO Maths Olympiad and Kids' STEM Convention.

These programs support students to think creatively, solve problems, communicate ideas and extend their learning in areas of interest and strength.
