Prep to Year 6 students participate in a Physical Education lesson each week. Craigslea State School has a Physical Education specialist teacher who delivers age-appropriate, structured, and skills-based lessons focused on developing strength, coordination, and overall fitness.
In Term 1, students develop and refine fundamental movement skills through ball sports by learning how to move with objects, use space effectively and apply movement concepts in a range of game situations. In Term 3, students develop movement skills and strategies while learning how physical activity supports health, fitness and wellbeing, and how fair play, rules, teamwork and inclusion help everyone participate successfully. During Term 4, students develop their swimming skills using the on-site pool shared with Craigslea State High School.
