8.45 am: Students assemble at classrooms
9.00 am: Classes commence - first session
11.00 am: First break
11.45 am: Second session
1.15 pm: Second break
1.45 pm: Last session
3.00 pm: School day ends
The children sit in class groups for the final ten minutes of each break to eat. The children are restricted to set areas for lunch and play. Warning bells are rung at 8.30 am, 9.00 am, 11.45 am and 1.45 pm.
Student absences
If your child is absent for any reason please complete the absence via
QParents External link or contact the school absence line 3350 8766 and report your child's name, class, reason for absence and dates your child will be absent if known.
Arriving late
If your child arrives at their classroom after 9:00 am they must collect a late slip from the school office and take it to their teacher. This complies with the electronic roll marking initiative implemented by the Queensland Government. An afternoon electronic roll marking process is also conducted.
Should your child not be present during electronic roll marking and the absence is not registered with the school office, phone calls will be made to parents/carers.
Leaving early
Parents/carers who need to remove students from the school during school hours are required to follow protocol:
- Proceed to the office and inform admin staff
- Complete register details and receive slip
- Admin staff will call teacher and have your student sent to the office
Please endeavour to make appointments outside of school hours as time out of class greatly impacts on your child's learning.
Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)
If a student requires care outside school hours, Craigslea State School P&C operates a high quality
outside of school hours care service in our P&C building.
